Anonymous says:why i can not find the footage for the assignment 1 in some computers? is it the basketball one that got the label 153-4b...etc i found only 5 of them ... is that all? |
Anonymous says:They will be up tomorrow apparently |
Anonymous says:Gahh, can someone please post the directory (or server name) to where the media files for assignment 1 are located? Have looked everywhere but no luck.... |
Sam Hinton says:Sorry about the confusion. The files should now be up on all the computers in 9B18 and 9B22. The files are in a folder on the SaveDisk of each computer. Any problems, let you tutor know and we'll do our best to fix them. |
Anonymous says:I was just wondering if the two media files without sound were going to be fixed as i would like to use some of their sound. Thank you |
Anonymous says:how do we submit out assignment? i haven't been at the tutes coz i've been sick. is it by cd? |
Anonymous says:Are we getting lecture notes or even powerpoint slides? Or is it just audio lectures for the whole semester? |
Anonymous says:I would also like to know what is the best method of submitting the project? |
Sam Hinton says:Hi everyone, A couple of answers. 1) assignment submission will be online, via this site. Look tomorrow (2/9) for more information. 2) Michael does not put up materials for his lectures (taking notes is always a good idea, anyway) but I will be when I take over the lectures as of week 10. Remember, though, taking notes can be a good study technique. Finally, if you email me |
Anonymous says:just wondering.... I went to buildng 10 late night to work on my video editing..coz B9 was closed.. ? then all the computers didnt have final cut program..... Why is that?..... |
Sam Hinton says:The uni has limited licenses of Final Cut Studio. It's quite expensive and most of the work is done over here in B9, so having extra copies that are hardly used in building 10 is a bit of a waste. Having said that, B9 is open till 10pm Mon-Thursday and you can speak with Margaret Russel (9C6 - see the unit outline for other details) for after hours access. |
Anonymous says:How do we submit the rationale part of the assignment. Can I email it to Marisa (my tutor)? |
William Thomas Wilson says:I'm pretty sure we have to put it in the "Comments" field of the submission form. ...or at least I hope that's where it goes... |
Sam Hinton says:Yep, Bill's right... it's explained in the submission instructions. |
Anonymous says:Hi, I was wondering how the marks will be handed. Cheers! |
Sam Hinton says:We'll be emailing you your marks to your student email address. We'll try to get this done by the end of week 10 - the marking of these is a slow process! |
Anonymous says:Is it possible to upload on the website the HD quality fcp projects? |
Anonymous says:i agree with u, dude... |
Anonymous says:Are the assignments sent any times soon? |
Anonymous says:Not to be a bother or anything, but it's the end of Week 11 now, and stilll nada! |
Anonymous says:Is it possible for me to get a copy of Lord of thr Rings pre-production document that you showed in the lecture? thank yous |
Anonymous says:Do you guys know who runs the tutorial class on Thur at 1:30pm to 2:30pm? .. I missed my tut..thinking of attending that class..... |
Eamonn Kelly says:I run Thursday 1:30. You're welcome to attend if there are free computers. We'll be covering motion guides and simulating camera movement. |
Anonymous says:How do you know the mark for assignment 1..the editing.. I got the feedback back, but I still dont know if I failed or passed . Am I suppose to email back and ask or talk to the tutor?? |
Anonymous says:hey guys, is it possible to get the report headings posted online? |
Anonymous says:yeah i was also wondering where the headings were, considering it's due in one week??? |
Sam Hinton says:I've added a link to the PDF for the group feedback sheet above. Please print off a copy, fill it out and drop it into your tutor's drop box on level C of building 9 by 5pm in week 16. |
Anonymous says:Are we still required to write the group report in respect to headings you are providing? I just cant seem to find the link for that part? |
Sam Hinton says:Sorry everyone, it should be available at the top of this page now. Any problems, give me a yell. |
Anonymous says:I s it possible for me to get a copy of Lord of thr Rings pre-production document that you showed in the lecture? thank you . |
Anonymous says:Hi all, I was just wondering how many words we are supposed to write for the group report ? : ) |
Anonymous says:How should we submit our report? Drop to the tutors box or submit with the flash? |
William Thomas Wilson says:The report goes into your tutor's dropbox. As Sam says above |
Sam Hinton says:Thanks to Bill for his comment above. 1 to 2 pages is all you need for the report - around 250 to 500 words, no more - no extra marks for being long-winded. Write enough to comments sensibly on the points I noted under the headings. |
