Duties & responsibilities of this role

Determine security needs
Develop and implement effective solutions
Create and enforce security policies
Plan, design and implement security systems and software including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems, biometrics and anti-virus measures
Develop and provide ICT Security Awareness training (DEWR, 08 August 2007)
Co-ordinate IT disaster recovery planning and testing activities (DEWR, 08 August 2007)
Provide subject matter expertise and administrative support across a range of activities undertaken by the section (DEWR, 08 August 2007)
Prepare security related reports and procedural documentation (DEWR, 08 August 2007)
Liaise with users, technical areas and application groups (DEWR, 08 August 2007)

Experience in IT-related field covering a range of technologies and a willingness to learn and understand new technologies. (DEWR, 08 August 2007)

Salary

Remuneration package up to $112,250
