Attendance - Lubna Alam, Peter Donnan, Judy Couchman, Helen Carter, Jagdish Mehra

Place - 1C29 Celts seminar room

Notes

  • Issues discussed were about the integrity module - whether it be a stand alone module or embedded in LMS.
  • Majority of the attendee's were in favour of LMS based implementation for ease of integration for teaching and learning, maintainability, sustainability, quiz facility, Callista integration, hit count to see which pages were most visited.
  • Problems with approach - how do we send an email notification to referring lecturer? Jagdish to discuss this with Matt & Helen when Matt comes back from leave. A meeting will be set when Matt is available.
  • Another issue became clear that entry to quiz has two separate entry points - one for learning purposes, other for plagiriam referring cases. Suggestion was made that channel them separately and that would also assist in getting the referring lecturer name
  • Plagiarism register and possible integration with the register was discussed. It was suggested that this project will ONLY make recommendations for such integration and how it might be done.
  • The quiz was discussed, number of questions and such. It was advised that there will be a quiz pool with similar quiz questions grouped together. The 12 questions will be chosen from these groupings randomly.
  • Peter to lead the video taping of the speech of Dean of students.
  • Judy to complete the discipline specific material. New deadline end of October.
