Re: [7125-6666] No Lecture?
Yes, that's correct, no lecture W6-9, but there are tutorials W6 (the
2nd week of Prejudice & Aggression tutorials (this is the third
tutorial)) and W7 (the 1st week of Cross-cultural training; the 4th
tutorial).
If confused, I suggest downloading and checking the updated unit outline

No Lecture?
Hi
I have just read there is no lecture tomorrow?
How about the tutorial at 16.30-18.30pm?

Interesting video
I think this is an interesting video related to issues of prejudice in
high school:

- i.e., no lectures in W06-09,14 - IMPORTANT: This means NO
lecture tommorrow - (but there are the 2nd week of tutorials
Re: [7125-6666] Research Participation Marks
Hi Kat,
I met with John Gross (motivation & emotion) and Steve Dawson
(physiological psych) on Fri and we'll generate a list of cross-enrolled
students and make sure that if you've participated in all available
studies, that you will get full credit for research participation for
each of the units you're enrolled in.
Research Participation Marks
Hi James,

I'm just wondering if you require us to contact you if we are seeking
to have research participation marks cross-credited for other
subjects. I'm currently in Motivation and Emotion with Dr. John Gross
and would really appreciate the dual recognition of credit from the
completed studies allocated to Social Psych.

Re: [7125-6666] Re: Research participation - new studies
Good question - I'll be collating hard-copy and online survey
participation over the next week or so and posting it up via WebCT - so
stay tuned.
For cross-enrolled students in other psych units with research
participation, I'll negotiate with the other conveners so that you can
use credit across the units.
Re: [7125-6666] Re: Research participation - new studies
Hi James

Is there a way we can check our participation has been accurately credited? I tried to do this via the Psych Office and was told that the online participation credit was not recorded there - only the hard copy survey participation.

Hmmm....thanks for sharing this.
Occasionally something like this happens.... upon submitting your
responses to this survey, in theory you should see a screen like the one
below, and then you click "next" (bottom-right) enter your unit details,
etc.
However, it looks like there was a bad link though for "submit details"
Communication
Hi
Although the different levels and channels of communication all seem
effective verbal language is more frequently used as observed in
passing a clear message to the recipient and on the recipient's part
to apply active listening and request clarification of the message
using the Shannon Weaver Model for feedback that can prevent errors
Re: Lecture 5 is available
Hi James

I will not be able to attend the turorial today (19/08/2008) Tuesday
at 16.30-18.30 pm ) as I wont be on time due transport problems
I have also re-read my course guide regarding the E-learning I will
summarise my readings and post them in
and see how I go with that

Thanks

Gladys

Re: Research participation - new studies
I did the life effectiveness survey but it never asked me for my
details or anything to get the research participation for it.
Lecture 5 is available

Hi all,

Finally, getting the hang of Wikiversity - my camera manual is more
user friendly than that damn program and it’s in Japanese. Anyway, my
notes for tutorial 2 are up and can be viewed at:

Remember, we will be watching "Ghosts of Rwanda" during the lecture. You

should do this prior to the Week 5/6 tutorials.
